Our signature music is a blend of our English and American backgrounds that features folk songs and melodies, soft rock from artists like James Taylor, The Beatles, and Eva Cassidy.
Each piece is full of harmony, intertwined guitars and acoustic melodies.
Our Story
BLACKHILLS GOLD is a new name for the duo affectionately called "The Coves" in local circles.
The duo consists of Mike and Karen Cove who have been sharing their love of music with others for over 20 years. Originally working as a song writing team that recorded their original music, they have since developed several music programs for various venues and occasions. They have a passion for serving local elderly care facilities with time-honored hymns and gospel music and, at times, have provided themed performances for the residents.
Mike hails from the UK and Karen is a lifetime resident of the Appleton area. Both are experienced musicians who have played a variety of instruments in bands, worship teams and on stage for many years.
